5 gallon! SUGGESTIONS! :)
Anyone have any suggestions as to what to put in?! im not sure about planted or not. it has been cycled for 3months now
i was definately thinking some ghost shrimp? maybe a betta? or a guppie/platy or two?
Platies won't work for a 5g tank, they are just too messy.
Bettas are fine, you could even have 2 with a tank divider, but it would be happier by itself.
You could get up to 3 guppies. Just add them slowly so that you don't cripple the bio-load.
Shrimp are sometimes eaten by bettas (and maybe guppies), so they are somewhat of a risk.
Here are some other fish that you could have;
and there might be afew others.
Get a gorgeous male betta and some bushy plants.
I have a 5 gallon divided with two male bettas :)
For a 5 gallon, you could always make an invertebrate tank...
Some RCS and a CPO. :)
I definately vote planted, even if it's just some dwarf sag and ludwigea repens.
From my experience, if you get a betta, don't get shrimp as well. Unless of course your planning on the shrimp being a treat for the betta. Nom nom nom....
