Hi

I just recently found this forum - what a great community. I live in Central PA and our best local fish shop closed recently - we lost a wonderful resource. I started with a 1 gallon Betta tank and now have five smaller tanks - just bought a 14 gallon so at this point I can't deny that I'm hooked:-) Looking forward to sharing info and seeing lots of great aquarium/fish photos.
Cheers,
Carla

Hi and welcome. I saw on another post that you have cory habrosus. So do I! I looked for photos of your sparkling gourami tank but they aren't up (yet?) I'd love to see photos.

Hi -

Thanks for the welcomes. I have to figure out how to take good pictures of my tanks without getting glare. The sparkling gourami/cory (C. pygmaeus) tank still has a lot of tannins from the driftwood (which was boiled and soaked) so the water is a bit dark although they don't seem to mind it. I also have natural colored gravel so the corys blend in pretty well. The gouramis definitely will be easier to see in a photo. I've thought of ordering some Seachem Purigen to clear the water but am not sure if that is the best for the fish.

I'll definitely check out the Betta forum. I've had Warren for almost a year - so far he is healthy and happy (builds a bubble nest from time to time) - he is on my desk as work and watching him is really relaxing when I'm having a busy day.

Cheers
