i just set up
 
my 27 gallon tank with a biowheel, heater, air pump, and digital and reglaur temp.

i added some of my other tanks bottom food to my new one about 4 pellets but im planning on getting some bio spira just wondering what else i can do please suggest any ideas


pictures will be posted tomorrow or tuesday

You might want to be careful using food lying in another tank. Remove it if you see it getting white an fuzzy as this is mold.

You could add a biological additive of some sort to speed up the cycling process.

I have had nothing put positive experience with Bio Spira. Cycled 3 tanks with it. All in no time with no fatalities. Make sure you buy it from a reputable LFS with a high turn over so you know it's newer stock and has been kept refrigerated at all times like it should be.

When you add fish, do it slowly, and don't forget to test your water every day regardless with a quality liquid test kit.
