Meet Abbey....our Puggle puppy :-)
We have a new addition to our little family. Abbey is a Puggle (pug/beagle mix) but definitely much more beagle than pug. She is 4 1/2 month old and has been such a joy so far. She is very smart and is learning quickly.
I have been MIA on the forum for about a month. Abbey has been taking up a majority of my free time, but now I'm back and look forward to learning more from all my friends at TFK. Attachment 20172 Attachment 20173

Yep, she's a keeper. That second pic, I still can't get over how darn expressive her face is. You'd appreciate this...this morning was the first time the cats ran and Skip didn't give chase. It took TWO years but it finally happened. Hopefully Abbey is MUCH smarter than Skip. I have a feeling that she is. Thanks for posting, we expect monthly updates on this thread, with pics. :-D

Here's another one of my favorites. The jersey is one of her Christmas presents, but I had to try it on her to make sure it fit first ;-)

She is very expressive. I think in that 2nd picture, the dominant cat was near her and she was keeping an eye on her as she was playing wth her toy. She acts VERY different between the two cats. With the dominant one, she takes the long way around to avoid her and won't chase a toy if the cat is in her path. It's funny.
HORRAY for Skip! Abbey has gotten better about chasing our other cat. Sometimes she'll watch him but as soon as he turns his back and walks away is when she still gives chase. Forget it if he's actually running. Today he was sitting on the landing of the steps and she went down to sniff him as I was walking behind. I said "GO" and she continued on her way down the steps. She's about 70/30 so far (70 chase, 30 no chase if caught in time).

70/30 at 4 1/2 months? That's awesome. I use the "GO" also, works great. ;-)

70/30 when the cat is standing still ;-) If he's moving, forget it. Drops to 0%....LOL. She's such a good pup overall though.
