Sick cory cat
Hi, all. I added 2.0 "julli" cories to my tank yesterday and one is still listless and not eating. Water paramaters are great (0 ammo, 0 nitrites, 10-15 nitrates). The other is doing great and flocked right in with the others but this guy hangs by himself at the back of the aquarium with a droopy dorsal fin. I'm pretty sure it was the stress of the move but I'm not sure what to do next. Should I give him a few more days to settle in? Try to return him to my lfs? Remove him to a sick tank? thanks!
Give him some time many fish will react differently being moved to a new tank, also he might not be the social type, I have 5 emerald catfish and 1 of them from day 1 has always been kind of a loner, every once in a while I will see all 5 together but most of the time you will see 4 at one side and 1 on the other side away from the others.

Although he might be sick, he might not be. One of my cories was always off by himself from the others and all of them range far and wide on their own. They also just sit there looking dead and then they'll pop up and run around for a bit. Even though I've had mine for quite a while now, they still scare me when they sit there immobile like that. I agree with zof to wait and see if he settles in.

I agree. Better to leave it to adjust rather than adding more stress by moving it so soon, and as mentioned there may be nothing wrong anyway. If it does die within a few days, most stores will replace it. Fish do get internal issues we can't see, or it might have been injured...or it may just be stressed from the move. Corys I find do not like being moved to another tank and they may react.

Unfortunately, he did die the day after I posted this. The store replaced him and now all four of my little guys are doing great! Thanks for the advice!
