Hello all
Another excited newbie here. Our family currently has 2 tanks: a 10 gallon planted with 6 neon tetras and 2 glass cats. We just added the glass cats this past weekend. The store had only the two glass cats so we hope to add more soon. Our other tank is a 20 gallon long with one male betta so far. Eventually we want to add some good tank mates for the betta too. The betta actually really seems to be happy with the amount of space. We have lots of hiding places for him and he likes to swim and explore the entire tank.

We are really enjoying our new found passion!

I would put the betta in the 10g with some cories and have a small community in the 20g..

Yes. We've thought about switching them around. The 20 gallon is in my son's room and the 10 gallon is in my daughter's, so getting the kids to go along with the switch is the tricky part. But I agree that would make the most sense.

Hello and welcome to the forum.

That is one lucky betta :)

The betta is currently living the good life in the 20 gallon. Eventually we will probably swap the fish around and move the betta to the 10 gallon.

The betta seems quite content alone in the 20 gallon. So the new plan is to upgrade the 10 gallon fish to a 55 gallon! My wife thinks I've gone completely off the deep end. In the mean time our betta will remain the loan inhabitant of the 20 gallon long.

Thank you for all the input.
