on monday I vacuumed out the tank (before that it was a little cloudy) And now it is even more cloudy...The other day my mom went to the pet store to ask them about my sucker fish (he stays in the bottom corner of the tank..) he said I feed them to much (twice a day) now I feed them once a day...
Can someone tell me why the water is cloudy and ways to make it go away...
:?: :?: :?:
maybe theres oxygen in the water well more than usual like right when u poor a glass of water from the tap
If you're overfeeding and the water is white cloudy, chances are you have molding food in your tank. You'll need to vacuum out the food particles. I had to rip out my hornwort to find the lost food.
How would I know if there is more oxygen than usual?
and what is a hornwort?
How long has the tank been running?
Sounds like it's still cycling. I would just leave it be and be patient. Don't over clean it. It is good you cut feeding down to once a day, as opposed to twice a day. Even every other day would be okay.
Do you have a liquid test kit to test your water parameters?
I have stuff to test pH, Ammonia and Nitrite.
Where can you get hornworts?
It has been running about 1 1/2 months or so...
Should I take some kind of water sample to our pet store?
test the water for what you can and post the results here, that may help
