Suggestions for new fish needed.
Tomorrow night I'll be making a rare trip to my LFS and I need to make this one count. I have a 20 gallon (see contents below), and I need to add some new fish to it. I need your help, since I have experience with only some species.
Please help me select fish(es) that:
Are suitable for 20 gallon tanks
Aren't too fragile/sensitive
Aren't too aggressive
Aren't bottom dwellers (all my current fish are, so space is limited)
They can be big or small, so long as they will be happy in a 20G. Schools are allowed (of small fish obviously).
Nitrite: <0.3mg/L (will perform water change tomorrow before trip)
I understand this is a decision usually I should make but I need people with more experience with more fish since I'm still fairly new to the hobby.
Basically all Tetras
For smaller fish, I like cherry barbs. They are pretty active. Also, I got some Blue Mirror Tetras (Boehlkea Fredcochui) recently and they are pretty as well as active.
Also, I would recommend holding off until your nititrites come down and you finish cycling.
Yes I was also thinking the same thing last night.
I suppose I could hold off another several weeks. Gives me more time to decide! :D
