Jack Dempsey feeding question

Hi i currently have a JD in a 55g tank. My friends has a 125g tank and has 2 oscars and 3 JDs he has geckos on his patio and he feedes them to his fish! Is this bad for the fish at all? i know it is cruel but i want to let him know if it is bad for them so that he will stop?

This is something that the JD may eat in the wild that would fall into the water so it is probably fine.

I feed my JD a wide variety of things. Pellets, brine shrimp, blood worms, feeder guppies, white cloud minnows, crickets, meal worms, and has killed and eaten plenty of his tank mates ):

It is doubtful that your friend is going to stop something that he/she takes what some view as a perverse pleasure in doing.
Is possible that the Gecko's could ingest insect's or other foods from an area where pesticides,or poisons were used in an effort to irradicate or control their numbers and thus it is also possible for the Gecko's to pass this along to the fish that eats them.
Would also note that some states have strict Conservation law's with respect to taking,or possessing wildlife and your friend may unknowingly be liable to prosecution.
