Am I driving my fish crazy!?

Hello. I reciently got an airstone setup for my 10 gallon tank. It has an air pump recommended for 5-15 gallons and an airstone strip about 4-6" long maybe. The current inhabitants of this tank (soon to upgrade!) 2 Lemon Tetras, 2 Swordtail (1 fry, 1 adult), and 1 abino (bronze) corydoras.

It sure is making a lot of big bubbles! I can't tell if I am driving my fish crazy. I just got the setup to increase aeration and help with other problems.

The fish seem more active than usual, I don't know if they like it or not. Any suggestions?

I installed it about 12 hours ago. They seem to be doing fine. A little more anxious maybe.

If anybody has any tips or suggestions please let me know.

A little more activity is normal when something new is added to the tank, just as long as it doesn't look like a stress reaction, I'm sure they will calm a bit over time, I would like to point out though Corys should always be kept in groups of 3 or more, they are a very social fish that might not do well alone. If you are worried about too many bubbles you can always add a valve between the pump and the stone so you can control how much air is going to it.

I can't really see any signs of stress. This morning got way to cold and overloaded my heater. My water temp was 71 degrees and slowly rising.

As for the corydora, I am upgrading as soon as I can afford it! This is only the tempory solution to a beginners mistake. He used to have a buddy but he/she died in September. I got him when I started in July.

As for the air pump valve. This is the only thing my pump is hooked up to. If I turned it lower would that just overload the filter or pop something? I don't know. I am still getting fish figured out. :-D

I was worried that the airstone system would stress out my fish but instead, it has done wonders! The tetras have gained bright coloration, and the tetras are eating better. I am so glad. All the fish seem much happier!:-D
