I had an orange crayfish in my tank for about a month, then one day when i came home and looked in I saw it dead in a cave. When I went in to get it out, it wasn't a dead crayfish, but only its shed skin. I searched the tank and I couldn't find it hiding anywhere, so I gave things time to work themselves out. The crayfish never reappeared, so I'm assuming he was eaten by other fish during the molting period. So I got another one, and I am hoping to avoid what happened last time.. what should i do?
what kinds of fish do you have in there? the safest way is to remove all the fish that can eat it. if not make the tank densely planted to help it hide
