Today I got 2 Fantail Goldfish for free. WOW!! Today I went to a Computer & Technology Fair. It was the last the of the fair. The fair was almost ended and most of the stalls were closing. We were walking then suddenly I saw in a stall one glass jar and there is 2 goldfish in there.. 8-) Then I walked toward that stall and asked a guy in as these your fish ? What are you going to do with them after you done here? They said " Don't know" Then i asked what did you give them to eat ? No Ans.. Then I said You can give them to me If you want. I have a big aquarium They will be safe there. Then that guy gave that 2 goldfish. they are now in my aquarium. Playing and eating with others. :-D Happy ending.. |
Glad he gave them to you and they are now in a much better home. |

I would love to see pictures of them. I love fancy tail goldfish I use to keep 2 in a 20 gallon tall tank many years ago. |
Didnt u write another post saying ur tank was 7gallons with 1 goldfish 2 mollies 2 dwarf gouramis 2 giant danios 2 plecostumus 2 neon tetras now 2 more goldfish?!?!?!? Not a good idea! First goldfish are clod water not appreciating warmer waters!!! And the tanks are very ovee stocked!! |
I think your right fish boy as thats the only tank he has in his aguariums. If thats true greenplant your goldfish will not last long in that tank. First its way to small gold fish need at least 10 gallons a piece and you should not have the tropical fish with the gold fish due to the very different needs as far as water parimeters and tempature. You seem like you really care for you fish is there anyway you could get a seperate bigger tank for the Goldies? As for the other fish in the tank they all need more room than a seven gallon. The plecos depending on what kind they could need a 55 gallon or bigger tank, the neons need to be in groups of at least 5 because they are shoaling fish, the giant danios, gourami and the other also need bigger tanks and will out grow the tank. In order for the fish to be healthy and not suffer you will need to put the goldfish in there own tank that at least 30 gallons, and for all the others if you plan on keeping them will also need at least a 30 gallon except the plecos they will need to be rehomed unless they are the bushy nose kind then one may be ok in a 30 gallon. |
I agree again with calmwaters bigger tank for goldfish or take them to a LFS and maybe think of getting a bigger tank for ur other fish and maybe rehome the plecos coz some can get to 20inches plus!! |

First of thanks Amanda for understanding how concerned I am about my fish. I did ordered a new 43 gallon tank. And the good news is it will arrive today :) Gonna relocate all of my fish to the new tank except these 3 baby goldfish in this 7 Gallons as they are so tiny. Then I am gonna remove the heater from here to the new 43 Gallon tank. So they can have low temp water. And yes If I decides to buy neon tetra I will remember your suggestion will bring a gang of them  . My plecos are 4 inch now when they grow more I will put them in my pond :D |
Whew thank goodness I was hopeing you had a plan. LOL The goldfish could move in to your pond to when they get bigger if you live in a not really really cold place. ; ) |
