Bulb Question?

I have a 29 gallon with the 30 inch hood that accepts 24" bulbs. The tank and hood came together as a starter package and I need to know what type of bulb this accepts (T5, T8, etc.) Does anyone know which type of bulb it accepts. The tank was just bought about a month ago brand new from Petsmart. I was wondering if I can just put better bulb in from Petsmart, but I don't want to buy the wrong type. Any help is greatly appreciated.

its probably a T8....T5s usualy state its presence...to be sure you can simply take your fixture with you...assuming its not to bulky...bulbs rated 6500Kelvin are usualy what a fresh water tank with plants would need to prosper....

Yeah its pretty bulky to take along with me and i would have to travel all the way back home after work to grab it and make the way all the way back by work to get to the store for a new one. The bulbs aren't much money so I'll just pick one up and if it doesnt fit I can just return it.

I doubt it accepts T5 bulbs. Probably T8 or T12. I'm pretty sure T5s are something you'd need to buy a special lighting fixture for. If it was a special plant package or something, maybe.
