Pictus Catfish should be kept in groups a single specimen will hide alot and not be very active, also iv heard they can eat smallish fish?

Thanks a lot, it's not set up yet. I'm going to get the tank this week and hopefully set it up the same day.

The profile suggests that although they're not perfectly docile, your 55g should be large enough for you to do a school of Pictus cats. You said "semi-aggressive" and this looks like it.
Lovely fish by the way. Please do it.

I actually just finished setting it up. I filled using buckets instead of a garden hose. I had no fish in there so I didn't need to worry about them getting stressed. I wanted to go with a tropical community tank rather than semi-aggressive. Thanks for all the comments guys and this is a great forum.

Just wanted to say welcome to the group and point out that at the top we have a tab that you can click on and read about fish you may be interested in. I have a 55 gallon communtiy tank and I love the variety of fish you can have in a tank this size. Oh and by the way we love seeing pictures of peoples tank so feel free to post some. ; )
