ceramic noodles Vs bioballs

what is a good media to keep you good bacteria?

do you prefer bioballs or ceramic noodles, or is there another alternative?

personally i use bioballs, but im looking at changing to ceramic noodles in my new filters, any suggestions appreciated

i dont see how bioballs can hold the bacteria.. i mean ceramic is porous so it should hold it better

The bioballs do not "hold the bacteria".
A bioball contains many interior and exterior surfaces.
The digestion bacteria grows on these surfaces.

3) I have bioballs, ceramic cylinders, ceramic toroids and sintered glass in my biological filtration process.
