canister filter help
I guess this is where I post this. does anyone know anything about a regent aqua tech 200 canister filter? I cant seem to find anything about it. mine was given to me by a relocating friend 2 years ago and I never used it. today I pulled it out and thought Id try it , seems to work great, seals all good and puts out a nice water flow. problem is its empty of all media, I put in some carbon , went light on it as I wasnt sure how much. should this also hold some little ceramic tubes, white floss or what? any info would be great. thanks, mike c.
Carbon will not last very long and is used only to remove odors, stains, tannins, meds, etc. You want foams and filter floss in there. Other media like ceramics are also fine.
got it, canister is up and running nicely. thanks
Feel free to put anything (well you know, not anything, any filter media) in your canister. How big is it?
Identical to a hot magnum.
