Breeding Rams

You should have stayed home and reared the Rams. Nothing in Florida but lots of heat. I have 2 Golden rams that are foolin around. Got the gravel in 2 corners moved out, looks like spawning beds.

My gold rams spawned the other day. This morning I checked and all the eggs were gone.

Microgeophagus ramirezi is just one of the worst parents. Most often, they'll eat the first batch of eggs.:shake:

When I got home yesterday, there were fry swimming around the tank, so it looks like they had a successful spawning. They are tring to keep the fry in a small spot but there are so many, the fry get away and wind up as a treat for the apistos.

Well, my gold rams are attempting to have more fry again. I got to watch the female actually laying the eggs this time. :) Hopefully this time turns out better than the last.
