Were can I get.....

I have kinda picked out the plants I want for my new tank, I seen an auction on ebay for STAR MOSS (Tortula ruralis) and I thought to myself that I HAD to have some. Well I went to bid on it after searching the net for some, and low and behold the bids are up to 20.07 for a 2x2 inch piece. I don't HAVE to have it that bad. Because I would still love to have some of this moss to put in my tank, I would like to know if anyone knows were I might be able to get some of this. I would be willing to pay 20 bucks if I got a little bit bigger piece.

Thanks for any info.
Danielle

I haven't looked, but you could try aquabid.com.

Nope, I looked there too, no one there has any up for auction either. Thanks for the advice though.

Unfortunately, star moss is quite expensive and quite hard to find. You will pay a small ransom to obtain it. And there is a good chance that your culture will be rather small.

Well I couldn't find a listing for it other than Ebay so no help there.
I do have a link to another moss that is really cool looking and supposed to be available in the US.

It is another really cool one that you might have better luck finding. I will ask around and do some more searching to see what I can find.

One good thing with it being so new is if you have any luck growing it fast then you could easily recoop some of the money selling it here. Wouldn't have to be a lot but might be worth it in the long run.
