Congrats on the parenthood!
Just make sure that when you see the fry, you isolate it in a contraption or netting device from the other fish (sometimes swordtails will have thier newborn fry for a snack). It should be fine as long as you isolate it when you find it.
My swordtail fry is almost 2 months old.
Good luck with your fry raising! They grow so fast.:-D

Yeh thanks a lil update she is very fat! Plus my other platy is pregnant aswell. i think i am letting nature take its cause in the tank but if i get a really cheap tank, and filter i will be putting the fry in there.

I bought a $10 little netted box that goes over the side of my tank. It is probably 3x5x4" or something like that. That way it can grow up in the enviroment he will live in. Unless you sell him I guess.

il probz sell them but 30 odd fry cant live in a breeding net till its 2inches!

A lot of petstores will take the fry at 1/2 inches long. And unless you are there when she has frys, I wouldn't expect 30 fry. You might get 30 if you find them soon enough.

so do you think puting them in a breeding net would be bad? or maybe 2 for like boys and girls??
