What kind of fish is this?
Well..I told my friend to get me a neon tetra and he gets this...
What kind of fish is it?
That looks like a glowlight tetra. Try googling some pictures and seeing if they look similar. The picture isn't very good but it definitely looks like a tetra.
Definatelly a glowlight tetra, very hardy can survive a cycle.
Oh alright thanks :)
Yes, it is a Glowlight Tetra, Hemigrammus erythrozonus scientifically; have a look at the profile (click the shaded name). I hope you have more than one, this fish like all tetra needs a group of 6 minimum, though 5 would do if space is restricted. It is a shoaling fish, and will be very stressed and waste away without more of its species.
depending on the size of your tank, either get some more Glowlights or if your lfs will allow it, give him back/ trade in for another neon.
Cant get any more fish in the tank its def at its limits and the petstore will not let me
2 neon tetras
1 glowlight tetra
1 oto catfish
1 inca snail
and one live plant, I had more but 2 died. Im hoping to get 2 more
