New from New England
I'm new to TFK. I found my way here from bettafish.com. I've only recently started keeping fish, but I tend to jump into things feet first. I'm from central Massachusetts, and I'm 25 years old and a girl. I currently have 3 cats and 1 betta fish. I have a 10 gallon holding my betta, and I currently have an empty 15 gallon.
The 15 gallon might be used to winter a single common goldfish so that it can find a permanent home in a goldfish pond come spring. If not, I'm very interested in using it to try out a substrate planted tank.
I work nights as an emergency dispatcher, answering 911 in a small town. I find myself haunting this site quite a bit lately. I'm always open to advice or chat. I'm always interested in learning new things.
Welcome to TFK, hope yu find everything you need! :-D:-D:-D:-D
Hi Hannah
Welcome to the forum. Let us know what you decide for your 15 gallon.
I certainly will. One way or another, I'll put pictures up eventually. I'm hoping my boyfriend takes care of the goldfish for the winter, so I can experiment with a substrate planted tank.
glad to have you aboard...this is the place for all your aquatic info...maybe i will see yah around ....
Welcome to TFK, Hannah! Looking forward to pics, and would love to see pics of your kittys! I LOVE cats, dogs, fish and kids. Not necessarily in that order. :-)
PS. What's the strangest 911 call you've ever had to deal with?? I have quite a few firemen friends and they have some CRAZY stories on calls they've been on!
hello and warm welcom to you. :-D
Hello Hannah, and a hearty welcome to Tropical Fish Keeping forum.
The strangest 911 call was probably the guy who called me convinced their was a "huge guy" standing behind a tree in his backyard staring at him. There was no guy... still not quite sure if he was on something or not. My favorite 911 call was received by a coworker. An elderly woman was convinced her husband was dealing drugs out of her basement... she didn't have a basement... and her husband was deceased.
