What colour is this?
So, I got some platies on the weekend, a red tailed calico, and this one. I love it's colouring, but I have no idea what it's called. Any ideas?
I don't know but its very interesting

Reminds me of a Blue Mickey Mouse platy mixed with a Gold Dust Platy.
Very cool! I never saw one that color in the stores here either.

Thanks! I couldn't find any pics of a gold dust platy though. Is it less common or something?

Blue Wag Platy is definately the main body. Its probably a mix with a marigold platy. I have painted marigold platys I am trying to get to breed true right now. However, they are not cooperating as they have been mixed up with other platies in the past. The joy of Platys is they can combine to make so many different, interesting, lovely color combinations.
