I headed over to the petstore today and was talking to this guy about rainbow cichlids. He said one could live in a 20 gallon? Is this true? When I came home I started researching and some sites said 20 gallons are ok, and others said 50 gallon was the minimum. Any idea's?
I have a group of four, but they're only juveniles at the moment - about 2.5". They are actually in a 20gal, but I'm going to let them grow and see how I feel about them being in there. I'm only aiming to keep two - a breeding pair - and because I have no prior experience with them and can't find too many others with much experience with them, I figured I'll let them grow and if they seem like they're not too cramped, great, and if they do seem cramped, I'll move them to a 33gal. I would imagine one would be okay in a 20, but it would likely be quite lonely ;)
Firebelly girrl, You UK based atall? I have a breeding pair free to a good home ????
