What happened to these 2 Swordtails ? [Detailed Pic]

Hello friends, I have got 2 swordtails and I have them for 5-6 days . I told that shopkeeper to give 2 pregnant female swordtail. I donít are these really pregnant or not This is my first time with this kind of fish. I did search the net about strange behavior of my fish. They donít eat anything not a single bite! Hiding under shades, sometimes they don't donít move for long time. They had ICK but they are ok now :) . I donít know what is the problem with them now. What are they doing? I have taken lots of pic of them. I read from this forum that if they are pregnant they will get gravid spot but i really donít know how this gravid spot look like. Look Like Females

Hi! They look like females based on the fins. If they were in a tank with males they should be good to go in a month or so. Just have to be patient. How big are they? If they are over 2 inches they should be hit. What is that variety of sword called?

Fryup Buddy they are about 3 inch.

Buckmanrules I dont have female in they tank. They are with male at the petshop. And they guy told me she will give baby within 3 days. Now one of them is dead Don't want to say how sad I am. After her death I operated on her and she had eggs in her no baby yet.

Her lips was white when she was dying. Just cured them from ICK dont know whats the cause of lips whitening.

I'm not sure you totally cured the ick. Watch tank mates closely. There is a product called aquarisol I have had good luck with that controls ick and parasites. Not sure it is available to hobbyists. I am a grower in FL. I am not a fan of formaldehide based cures like quick cure as you can burn the fish's gills if you over medicate. Not the case with aquari sol. Ick is not something that is just on the body. It is in the gills and also mouth. Sounds like you got a couple sick fish. Unfortunate. Just watch closely so you do not lose everything. When you buy a female live bearer again...look for one that appears so fat they are ready to pop with a nice dark lower rear. You'll have fry in no time! Goodluck my friend!
