Water Lettuce?

I bought a bunch of plants of ebay a couple weeks ago and this was one of the plants that came with it but what I got was no where near as nice as what dbriggs has for sell in the classified section. There are no roots hanging down like in his/her pictures. Do you think the roots will grow? Right now it just looks like leaves floating in the tank.

I'm sure your roots will take off with the right lighting and nutrients. Hopefully it'll recover, sometimes shipping has that effect on plants. I'd say just give it time. =)

i had bought some frogbit last week and when they came there was no roots, but now i see them growing back rapidly. The seller said that floating plants tend to lose their roots if temperatures get to the extremes during shipping. I think water lettuce should be similar.
