sick but holding on - help!!
Not sure what type fish "he" is, looks like a white goldfish. Called him Powder. He has been real sick about a week now. He is by himself in hospital tank and being treated with Melafix. I got him away from the others nearly 2 weeks ago after I noticed sores on his bloated side, like pustels. He had been bloated for a week or 2 up till then and we made jokes about pregnancy, then he just became bloated mostly on one side. He ate and swam ok but now is not eating and doesn't swim at all, just lies on the bottom. This has been happening for about a week. I had thought he was getting better a week ago but now I am really worried for him.
Welcome to the forum, Kiwirach.
I'd suggest posting your water parameters-ammonia, nitrites, nitrates and pH. Buying your own test kit is better than testing your water to your lfs where the latter is most often unreliable due to hasty conclusions which are most often found to be inaccurate or largely, false.
Also, pics will help a lot. They are equal to a thousand words and this is better than descriptions where it would factor out a lot of diseases because most diseases have very same symptoms.
