Hi i need bio filtration in my 55g tank i currently have a aqueon 55 power filter and marineland magnum 350 filter, for those of you who have the canister filter i have can i put ceramic beads or whatever they are in the active carbon canister to give my tank bio filter?

Yes, you could use the ceramic or Eheim substrat Pro. Just be sure an clean the bio media occasionally by giving it a good swish in dechlorinated water or old aquarium water that you take out during water changes.
