Don't scare me like that!
I just turned on the lights for my bettas and saw Francesco sprawled lifeless on the bottom of his tank. I just lost one of my platies so my reaction was "oh, noooooo! Not another loss!". Tapped on the glass and he woke up. He was having a sleep-in. Don't DO THAT! My nerves can't stand it......

LOL I have one betta who sleeps flat out on the ground like that ALL the time.

My clowns and yoyos do that do. Plopped over on their sides lifeless. Took quite some getting used to when I'd see that.

One of my female bettas, Ting, was draped across some Anubias roots and I thought she was dead too. But she was just taking a nap. lol

My platies ALWAYS scare me like that. they're so lazy all the time... I have to look and see if their gills are moving.

It was odd because they are usually up and about when I put their lights on in the morning. I've only seen them sleeping on the bottom if I've looked in after lights out at night. I didn't expect to see him sleeping in the morning so if gave me a fright.

I see that mostly in my Bolivian Rams when the light first comes on for the day. They take a good 15 minutes to start moving about their day. Reminds me of my college days ;-)

 I now have visions of Frankie staying up late, dancing and partying away. (But it wouldn't be much of a party just him and his snail.....)

When the parents are away, the children will play ;-)
