what to do with one tank

Hello I have one 38 gallon tank and i like to breed fish parents will not let me set up another tank and i am thinking of a tank divider. Any suggestions?:-?

if the tank is large enough and there is enough space for the parents and they fry.i think it will be ok. but it does depend on the fish you want to breed as well.
