Fisht that eats dead plant debris Are there any fish that eat the debris of dead plants? I know that there are some that stir up the bottom of the tank, but my plants aren't well established yet and I'd rather not have anything tearing them up. The tank's a ten gallon with 3 peppered cory cats, and 3 ottos. That's all the fish I have in there right now. |
moliies will eat plant debrie but considering the size i recomend ghost shrimp as they will eat this and any uneaten food |
Some kind of shrimp or mystery snails. Mystery snails because you can have them and control the numbers by removing the eggs above the waterline. |
Dojo Loach A Dojo Loach eats anything including fish poop. |
how about bamboo shrimp or kuhli loaches? |

go for some awesome kind of shrimp |
I was thinking about a bamboo shrimp. Would they also stir up the bottom of the tank and/or have any kind of effect on the water clarity? The tank is only ten gallons, so it's not like he has a huge job on his hands. |

I wasn't talking about ammonia or cloudy water. I was thinking that they'd act more like a miniature mechanical filter, eating little specks that you can see floating around...or am I way off on this? |
