Sick Shubunkin
 

I have a Shubunkin that has developed some sort cotton-wool like matter on his side. I am a newbie at fish keeeping and would really love to recieve some sort of advice on this matter. I have a 10 gallon tank with a tetra filter rated for a 30g. i have a sand stone that I use for air and a cave and fake plants. I have 1 Shubunkin and 1 Comet. need advice on care and everything. any little thing will help me give them a better home. THANK YOU!!!

K. Thank you for your advice. I hate to say but the lil guy didnt make it. but it will be good to know for any future cases. thank you again

a comet goldfish will grow to a possible 12 inches or more
given the correct living conditions,
if you've not got a filter on there,he'll not survive either,
the best advise to give you is to take him back to the shop,or donate him
to someone with a pond,then perhaps look into some fish that would do well in a 10glln
there are a few things to choose from that willl bring you pleasure to look after.

I will be upgrading to a 20g here shortly. I Have A tetra Whisper Filter 30. I am really hoping that I can provide a good life the lil guy.
