URGENT HELP - Clothes dye in rain water

Hi all,
I collected some water today from rain but unfortunately the one living on top of me left a towel RED and made my collected rain water red. DAMN HER!!!!!

1. Is it safe for the fish?
2. How can i remove the dye?

Thanks

I doubt they've conducted tests on fish to see whether they are affected by clothes dye, because it is not something that fish would ordinarily be exposed to. If so, there's no way of knowing that they would not be adversely affected and accordingly I wouldn't risk it.

You can buy chemicals to remove unwanted dye from clothes, but I've no idea whether they would remove dye in water and I would not use any chemicals like that with my fish.

If I were you, I would discard the affected water.

I second that.

A RO unit would remove the dye, but then again, if you had an RO unit you probably wouldn't be collecting rainwater...

Just throw the water out.

+2- pitch the water out and then nicely go talk to your neighbor about not touching or getting near your rain water!
