well live foods in england UK are rare in pet shop but i work in 1 so i pursuaded the manager to get some, i took it home and my fish went wild for it, the loved it i just wundered is this goin to promote growth and colour in my fish ????....:):):)

what foods did you aquire...as long as they were well taken care of and fed in moderation they are always benificiary...i like to power feed daphnia when i want a fish to be in top breeding condition...brine shrimp help to..micro worms,cleaned tubifex, cyclops, misquito larva, wingles fruit flies...

Tubifex, no matter how well cleaned, are the DEVIL, IMHO. Blackworms are much better.

they usualy harbor bacteria...and some cultures contain unwanted organisms like flat worms wich can prove problematic..unless you have a reputable distributer and you purge them you should probably stick to your regular regement....PS daphnia are cake to raise if you got another five gallon somewere...ADIOS>.....

i dnt hav another tank but if been researching brine shrimp cultivaters, and probably gona giv that a try :)
