brown fuzzy stuff

i have brown fuzzy stuff on my plants and more spikey fake plants and i think theres a small layer on the glass is this algae because i have never had the noticable algae in my tank since i started almost a year ago probably because my tank is a way from any windows and if it is alae should i get another pleco because mine only sucks on the drift wood as i found out AFTER i got it

dont get another pleco it wont help. (i h8 plecos for algae eaters i dont believe they work but just my opinion) does your tank have a light and how long is it on for? i would just wipe the algae off with a glass cleaner.

i clean the glass covering the 30" light all the time so theres never algae on it
