Lighting Dimmer Switch?
:?: Hi...I'm new to this, so am not sure what I need. I'm after a dimmer switch that I can plug my hood light into so that it simulates dawn and dusk and doesn't scare the fish. I would like it to be timed, so that the dimming and brightening occurs automatically over the day?
Can anyone please help me? Any websites or product names would be greatly appreciated!
Many thanks, bmfenner :?
What kind of light do you have. You should not dim power compact and florescent lights.[info][/info]
The best way I have seen to do this was to get a bank of flourescent lights and have them timed to come on at different times. This would simulate dusk, dawn and mid day.
Age of Aquariums - its a fluorescent tube in the lid. Didn't realise you couldn't dim one! Thanks!!!
Fish_4_all - thanks, that sounds good, but the aquarium is only 35L, so a bank would be too big for the size!
