Platy with bumps over his eye

My male Platy in my 10gal had 2 decent sized bumps around his eye (not the eye itself but body over the eye). He is a Red Wag and the spots appear lighter than the rest of his body. Other than being lighter in color there is no other abnormal coloring. I noticed the spots yesterday so they have only been there a couple days at most.

Params are ammonia 0, nitrate 10, nitrite 0, ph 8, temp 75, phosphates a little high 1.5-2.

Tank is 10gal, planted, sponge filter, occupants 1 male Platy, 1 female Honey Gourami and 1 Oto, soon to also house 7-8 Platy fry as soon as I make sure both tanks' issues are resolved.

The fish in question was transfered in about 3-4 at most from other tank. At that time had a big scuff which has since completely healed and only had about 1/5 the length of one of his side fins which has regenerated to about 1/2 of its normal size. He also has a lighter circular spot on top of his head just back from his eyes(centered) which I watched for a long time because I was afraid it would develop into hole-in-the-head but it never did but yet the spot remains so I assume it is just a normal part of him.

Any suggestions?

If the spots are white then that could be bad. Some pictures might help.

Sorry Sadie, what did you mean by this?

Does that mean you moved him 3 or 4 times?

Sorry It's amazing how the brain skips words that actually make a difference in meaning. He was transferred into his present tank 3-4 WEEKS AGO.

My female sword has the same thing. She had babies one night and I noticed the next day that she had 3 white spots in about the same place. Last night I noticed that she had a scale falling off that left a white spot. None of the other fish in the tank are effected and my water is just about as good as it gets. I was going to ask for idea also since there's nothing in my disease book that is close to the symptoms or looks the same. She still has a great appite and is acting normal. Please share any ideas. I'll try to get pics tonight.
