Water heater brand/type

As far as I know, I will be needing a heater soon, my current water temperature is 75- 76 F. I was wondering what type of heater to get and how soon I will be needing it, my house temperature will drop slowly in the coming months.

We're going to need to know what fish your keeping and what size aquarium to really help you out, though I will say that I have three different brands of heater running right now and object to none of them.

You should be good with a 50 watt heater in a 10 gallon. Go with a brand you trust that looks like it'll be easy to adjust the temperature nob. That's always what bugs me about heaters.

You might want to go up to a 75 watt as alot of 50 watt heaters have only preset temps and no knob to adjust with.
