55 gallon stocking advice

Right now I have 8 cherry barbs and 10 panda cory cats in my 55 gallon tank. I was thinking about adding a school of odessa barbs (maybe 8) and a bristlenose pleco. I want a busy tank but I don't want to overstock it and end up with problems. What other options do I have? Should I add a top level swimmer? All suggestions are welcome. Thanks.

A group of 6-7 Odessa Barb will be fine (click on the shaded name to see this fish's profile information). Their preference for slightly "cooler" temp (78F is the max high) also suits the Corydoras panda, so a good match there.

Byron.
