If your worried just get a turkey baster and just use that or put something on the end just like they did. I mean that's all that is really

a turkey baster is too short...can't think of how i could extend it.

Well it certainly wouldn't work for my mystery snails. They are about the size of golf balls so I don't think they would fit. ha ha Seems like it would work great for a deep tank. My tank is a bit too deep and if I ever get a chance to get another tank, I am not going to buy one so deep. Give it a try and then let us all know how it does. ;) :)

Anything I would try to build to replicate that would cost the same if not a bit more then the price and shipping, I'd give it a try.

How deep is your tank? I also use the turkey baster method. My arm gets wet but a towel solves that problem.
