we just bought 2 female gold gouramis. I have only ever had the dwarf gouramis (chocolate, honey) before. They aren't full grown yet, my estimate is about half grown. I was just looking for some info on them. Good things to include in their tank, diet, etc. Right now they are in a 30g planted aquarium with a variety of tropical fish, mostly tertras. There doesn't seem to be any aggresion towards each other or anyone else.
chances are they wont show any aggresion i have one in with gouramis that are aggresive and believe it or not the gold gourami stopped all the violence. its almost full ground at 6 inches long it eats plain old flags but duznt eat live shrimp well mine duznt it probably the nicest fish i have and i have congo tetras
I have just added a nice gold gourami to my tank. It seems fine, peaceful even. I think having one gourami in a tank at a time (unless it's a really BIG tank) is the best option as they might become a little territorial, especially the one that was added first.
squiggles, we have fish profiles, second tab from the loeft in the blue bar across the top. Lots of info like you're looking for on the fish profiled. Gold Gourami are actually the same species as the Blue Gourami, so that info applies; there is a photo of a gold included too. You can click on the shaded name in posts to see that fish's profile, example Blue Gourami.
