Japanese Moss Balls

I just ordered moss balls, I saw them in a tank at Petsmart while getting supplies and looked them up on the internet.

I didn't see anything negative about them and apparently they consume nitrates so that would be good for my oscar tank where I can't really keep live plants. They are a tad pricey.

I got a couple for my tank. They price by size so I just got the smaller ones, maybe a little bigger than a golf ball.Something different for the bottom of the tank.

Be sure to roll them around occasionally... They will get flat if they stand in one place too long.

Have you tried plants like anubias and java fern?

They seem to roll around quite a bit anyway, I just hope the oscar doesn't dismantle them.

Naw, I'm not really into plants. My main concern is the fish. Oscars wouldn't leave anubias or java ferns alone.
