removal of soft coral toxins
i have read several books that have recomended prompt use of activated carbon and heavy skimming to help keep soft corals SPS snd LPS inhibiting toxins in quesion is since i replace my carbon monthy asides from ocasional rinsing to keep it active is it really necissary to add more carbon....i use a hefty sock full in my sump as is...suggestions?....ADIOS.........

well to start with you dont need to rewash the carbon as its sitting in water all the time just when yo first put it in... once a month is fin but if you feel a need to increase your water quality or to water polish if you will i have read a great deal about using chemi-pure and it seems to work very well for about 6 months at a time..... i have not tried it my self mind you but i read a ton about random things like that LOL
