Question about Swordtail Fry, Help Please!

Okay, so I'm a newbie to the site.. my first post.

My swordtail female had fry two days ago while I was cleaning the tank. I suppose from all the stress it put her into 'labor'. Anyway, I was only able to save one. I do not have any breeder tanks and what not so I put together a little tank from things I had lying around. Can you please tell me if it is sufficient enough?

I have a small goldfish bowl that I put gravel in with a plant. For oxygenation I hooked up a sandstone to an extra air pump I had. I don't really have a filter though. I placed a carbon box in there, but no actual filter. Is this going to be a problem? I am noticing a slight smell and the tank is obviously getting a little dirty from the food. Is this stressing out the fry? Should I move it back to the original tank? Help please! Thanks!

Would be better to leave the fry in a cycled ,heated, filtered tank.
You can place lot's of floating plants either real, or artificial in the tank and small fishes will use this to hide in.
