Hello!!!
I just bought a new 30 gallon tall tank and it is going to be a planted aquarium... is there any stuff from home i can put in my tank that are functional and decorative
small plant pots are often used as caves and can look quite nice. i have also heard of people putting in bottles but id be wary of that. you could also make your own caves by siliconing pebbles or rocks together like somebody has recently posted about
i have some neat looking green beer bottles in one of my tanks. i removed the labels with adhesive remover, ran them through the dishwasher, then boiled them to make sure they were clean. i even tipped one over on its side and ran the tube from my homemade CO2 system into it so that the bubbles of CO2 can collect inside the bottle and diffuse into the water.
flower pots are safe and usefull they can be a bit boring to look at i piled up a group of different sized clay pots from tiny to large into a structure as would be done with rocks it looks quite good would look better against a contrasting or single color gravel as for usefulness it gives countless caves for fish to hide/breed
