Calcium Carbonate & Ferrous Gluconate
My tank is a 15gallon tank
Recently i bought some dry fertilizer (calcium carbonate & Ferrous Gluconate)
While i dosing the calcium carbonate, my tank become very cloudy.
Is there better method to dose calcium carbonate without cloud the tank?
And also any people here using ferrous gluconate? How do you dose in dry? I dosing 1.25g on my tank..don't know is it enough or insufficient ...
what form of CC did you buy? you could premix it in fresh water and just let it settle out then use the clear portion?
Let it settle n use the clear portion huh

Calcium carbonate in power form?
Can't imagine it being a good fertiliser... Unless you're doing it for the carbon..
I used chalk in one of my tanks, and many people use dolomite. Seems to release the calcium much slower.
I'm wondering why you are even using these products? Do you have a high-tech planted tank (using CO2 diffusion, high light, heavy ferts)?
Aside from the above situation, using individual products can be very detrimental not only to the plants but the fish. Iron is a heavy metal and highly toxic to all fish and plant life at levels above the minimum required as nutrient. I can comment further if asked, but this is not something I would risk in my aquaria.
