Hi, I have a question about some fish isues. Can too much plants affect afect a betta fish badly?

Only if plants are dying. Review or google ..Proper care of bettas.
A heated ,cycled,filtered tank with weekly water change(s) will provide benefits that discourage the chances of fish becoming sick.
Use a dechlorinator for new water added to the tank BEFORE you add the new water and take care that new water is not too cool or too warm.
