I have a 20 gl for my adults and a old 10 gl that WAS for my hermit crabs and it is empty now... For my fry what do ya think I should put into my 10 gallon tank to have a good enviorment for them... I am not breeding my fish yet so tank your time! lol
Apistogrammas are a super little fish for a 10g. They'll bred in it also. There really a beautiful spices. Some that do good in a 10g is the cockato, panduro, broili, aggssizi, elizabeth, pebes. There's alarge number of Apistogrammas to choose from. One of the most colorful of the Dwarf cichlids to me. The panduro is a beautiful blue and it's name means blue sky. here take a look at one of my males.
the male cockato
i wouldnt start off breeding those but they would look awesome in ur aquarium ... just make sure ur aquarium is aged first
I really like the Cockato
we have em ... 20/ pair... awesome fish, and they shouldnt bother anything. we had them in with baby cardinals (1/2") and they didnt touch em
I've had cockato pr, panduro pr,borilli pr , and two other prs in a 125g with Austrian rainbows, dwarf rainbows, bumbble bee gobys , night gobys , BN plecos , royal pleco and 50 neons and around 100 black skirt tettras for 5yr now. There's been so many frys Ican't count them all. There's a panduro fry now of about 50+. Oh yea there's also a trio pr of kribs in this tank to. I'd say Apistogrammas for a cummintie tank anytime. There beautiful and really easy to care for.
Yeah..... Oh, I bought a 30 gallon tall tank and a 40 gallon aerator a heater a filter a light that imitates the sun (65watts 6700k) and my chemicals! I am so so sooooo excited to pick up my fish.... I am probably ganna get the cockato.. they are beautiful.... I am also thinking about the glass catfish and maybe some tetras or mollies... I am really excited...
Remember, you need to be patient with this hobby.;)
glass fish are brackish ... as far as brackash fish go they probly do the best without salt. id suggest staying away from them for now
Oh.. I diden't know that... well I'll pass on those for now! :P
