Old 75 gallon
 

A fish tank I kept throughout high school. I rarely had any problems except with all the icky snails you see in that pic, I had those taken care of.
I had platys, mollys, tetras, tiretrack eels, a catfish and a pleco.

Retired because my dad and his girlfriend got into a fight last year and the girlfriend decided hurling a glass cup at the tank would be a good idea....

Note: THE TANK WAS NOT IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT, please do not leave rude comments.

Oh no! Did it shatter or did it just crack? I hope she replaced it for you.

It left a huge hole in the front that spider webbed
I lost all my fish and my eels were never found! She never replaced it for me, not did my dad make an effort to either. I was really down, I miss my babies

have you tried craigslist or kiliji for tank only sales? i actually put a 75 gal.tank out on CL myself a few months back before i moved and i couldn't sell it for $50 - lowered the price after a week to $30 and still nothing.
i finally put it out on the curb with a big "FREE" sign and it was gone within a day.

since it was just the tank that broke, you should be able to find one cheap enough if you keep looking.

and when you do -tell dad t(nicely) that you found a used tank and that he or she can replace it

Bah! Everyone in my local CL area think their 55 gallon tanks are worth $200 used.... I can never find a good deal.

well i don't think they wanted to sound rude.it's just sometimes when we type the words don't show our true expressions :-P
