Explanation of my name, and what drew me back..

Going through some photos I came across my old fish tank which included a Jack Dempsey Cichlid, a rather large common pleco, and a few other fish I can't recall. I missed the color my tropical fish brought to the living room, so I went to a couple fish stores in NJ and ended up with a Veiltail male beta, golden gourami, blue gourami, orange / silver dwarf gourami, blue / orange dwarf gourami, 3 neons, 2 serpae tetras, 2 painted tetras, a tri-color shark, a marigold swordtail, a red platy, a black molly, 5 zebrafish, and last but not least.. just 1 tiger barb.

. haha my my how quickly things progress!

The marigold, red platy, and 2 of the zebrafish died within several days of purchase because the tank is brand new. After a couple weeks now, it sustains life. I have 3 tanks - beta lives alone, the gold & blue gourami's + tiger barb, and the black molly live in a tank of their own. They get along well all things considered.. the gold gourami is too aggressive for my liking.

My name "reservoir" comes from my favorite place in NJ.. the reservoir I used to frequent to do my hiking and photography. I went and hand selected every rock in my larger tank from one of the dikes based on color and aesthetic appeal.

This is the tank with the reservoir rocks in it..

Thanks to craigslist.. I'm setting up a 29 gallon to replace this tank with and I'll have a few more live plants in it among other things. Good to be here, I look forward to sharing this hobby with all of you.

Thanks for the welcome's :)

I see this become an obsession.... collecting colorful fish! haha. My Fiancee isn't quite as amused, she won't even look at them if I ask her too.

Says "I'm not a fish person."

I just don't understand how all this color can not interest someone?
