Due to some circumstances in my life I have to downsize on my fish tank addiction, therefore I was wondering if I could pull the following off
30g fully planted (like full full you know me lol) stocked with
7 Emperor Tetra
10 Rummy Nose
8 Albino Cory
6 Cherry Barb
The reason for this mixture would be so I could get rid of my 45g currently housing the Tetra and to put some of the Tiger Barbs with the others in the 55g and leave the Cherry's with a more peaceful gang.
(Essentially I need to get rid of 2 tanks in the end of the day but would like to try to keep as many fish as I can if not all; which should be doable cause all my tanks are low stocked)
Your input please?
Why don't you keep the 45g and get rid of the 30g? Will give more swimming room for the fish. Obviously someone more experienced will have to give their input on the stock. Good luck, Nat.
EDIT: Nevermind. I just remembered how badly you wanted a 30g then finally found one ;-)
No not just that the point is that where the 45g is at now in the hallway; the 55g will move there.
The fish from the 45g (hopefully) to the 30g so that the 45g is out of the way and the 55g can be moved out of the room ;-)
Anyone still following me now
That should work, given the temperament of those species, the plants, and presumably your continued weekly water changes.
Sad news; hope your life is OK Natalie.
Oh yea care level, plan level etc etc is as you well know me Bryon same old same old :-D
I was beginning to wonder if you were on vacation with me not getting a answer to this
No nothing sad, all is fine just need fewer tanks in certain areas to have room for other things that's all. Actually just 1 tank less to be exact which is fair enough with my addiction lol
Just in case someone later uses the search function in our forum about the same issue:
I restocked as said earlier on and its WONDERFUL the only regret I now have is that I didn't do this a longgg time ago as this 30g sits on a end table and can be viewed from 3 sides sitting there on the couch and the type of observation you get from the fish this way is priceless and never before seen stuff, extremely interesting!
Awesome! I'm so glad it worked out so well for you.
